yikes!

What a day it's been! This morning, I went to feed Jay, after basically spending a very wakeful night with him also, and to my suprise, his feeding tube had popped right out of his stomach! Well, being the kind of family we are, Jess took pictures from every angle, of the displaced tube, and the sad hole in her dad's stomach! Aubrey, who accompanied me to the emergency room, made sure she had a front row seat as the doctor created a new hole (the old one had closed up), and inserted a brand new feeding tube! Call us morbid, but Jay has taught the girls to be curious and inquisitive, and indeed they are, as witnessed today. Thankfully, it was an inpatient procedure and we were home in two hours... Talk about a nailbiter! Poor Jay, foodless for a day...As if he doesn't have enough going on! Hope everyone's doing well, and keeping their food in their tummies, haha! Love and hugs, TJ/Mama T.

settling in

As many of you know, I have just returned from a five week stay at the beautiful Valley Medical Center hospital. I say that like it's a resort, but it's definitely not. I spent five weeks training to use a ventilator, and do trach care. It was a long five weeks to be commuting between the hospital and home and try to hold life together on both fronts, but with God's grace, here we all are back home again. As of now, it's easy enough, and all of the girls have caught on too. They are champions at suctioning and cougholating their dad. The nights are rough, as hubby doesn't sleep very well, but I am praying we get into some kind of a routine. In the meantime... I love life, I love my family, and even if I don't know you....I love you too :)
